Where Professional Support Meets Spiritual Understanding

Christian Therapy In Orange County

At OC Relationship Center, Christian therapy isn’t a separate service. It’s simply therapy grounded in the understanding that faith matters. If you’re looking for a therapist who shares your beliefs—or just someone who understands how your faith shapes your decisions—we’re here for you.

Our Christian therapists are licensed professionals who also happen to be Christians. We do not offer biblical counseling or quote Scripture in session. We offer the same high-quality, research-backed therapy as our other clinicians—with an added awareness that, for many people, faith is an essential part of healing.

Do I Have to See a Christian Therapist?

Not at all. Many Christians find deep healing with therapists who don’t share their beliefs. As long as you’re praying for wisdom and filtering what you’re learning through Scripture, there’s a lot to gain from working with any skilled mental health professional.

That said, sometimes it’s comforting to sit with someone who shares your worldview. You don’t have to explain why certain values matter, or why a spiritual practice brings you peace. It’s a little like choosing a female therapist because she understands your lived experience in a different way—not better, just shared.

What If I’m Not a Christian? Will the Therapist Start Talking Religion?

We’ll never judge you, evangelize, or push religion in session. Our job is to support your growth, not to convert you. If you’re not a person of faith—or if you’ve been hurt by religion—you’ll still receive the same warmth, professionalism, and deep respect we offer all clients.

Having a Christian therapist doesn’t mean your sessions will be religious. It just means your therapist’s lens includes faith, and they’ll honor yours—or your lack of it—with care and curiosity.

What You Might Bring to Christian Therapy

  • Grief, anxiety, or trauma that doesn’t resolve through prayer alone
  • Relationship stress that challenges your values
  • Guilt, shame, or spiritual confusion—even when you “know better”
  • Feeling disconnected from God, your community, or yourself
  • Church hurt or past wounds from spiritual environments

We’ll help you explore those tender places—not by quoting Scripture, but by helping you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. You don’t have to choose between your faith and your mental health. We’re here to support both.

As people move through midlife and beyond, many find themselves reflecting on deeper questions of meaning, identity, and purpose. Faith can offer a powerful framework for navigating those transitions—helping you stay grounded in hope, resilience, and connection, even when life brings loss, uncertainty, or change. Whether you’re facing a shift in roles, relationships, or health, your spiritual beliefs can be a vital part of how you make sense of it all. Therapy can support that process without diminishing your faith—just walking beside it.

Therapy That Honors Every Part of You — Including Your Faith

We believe therapy should meet you where you are, not ask you to set parts of yourself aside. Whether your faith is central to your healing or just one layer of your identity, we’ll honor it. Our job isn’t to prescribe a path — it’s to walk alongside you as you find your own, with clarity, care, and grounded support.

Whether or not faith is part of the conversation, our therapists use the same evidence-based approaches with every client. If you’re a Christian, we simply hold space for how your beliefs inform your story. We don’t offer spiritual shortcuts—but we do offer deep, effective therapy with the added understanding that faith can be part of what helps you heal.

Therapists Who Respect Your Journey

We approach faith in therapy with humility and curiosity. We don’t assume we know your spiritual story just because we might share your background or culture. Instead, we explore together—gently noticing which parts of your faith offer comfort and resilience, and which might feel complicated or painful right now. If faith is part of what’s bringing you to therapy, we’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and honor your lived experience as the expert voice in the room.

Our team includes several Christian therapists in Orange County and across California who understand that faith isn’t a mental shortcut—it’s part of how you process life. We know that therapy can complement your spiritual growth rather than compete with it.

Some clients bring prayer into the room. Others never mention their faith again after the intake. Either way is welcome. This is your space, and we’re here to walk alongside you with warmth, wisdom, and respect.
