Meet Stephanie M

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” – A.A. Milne

Hi! I’m Stephanie Martinez, a licensed clinical social worker. For the past 25 years, I have supported and guided people through difficult and unexpected life circumstances and situations; and personal challenges. I encourage and help ease emotional burdens and empower people to achieve a healthier mindset.

My love for therapy began as a result of seeing and working with so many hurt and broken children and families over time through the foster care system. This experience deepened my calling to help heal some of the hurt in a way that social work alone cannot do. I have been honored to witness the discovery of their strengths and their transitions to a healthier state. I love helping people learn about themselves, and break through emotional barriers to discover a better, stronger, and more resilient self.

How I work

I provide a warm, comforting safe space for clients to harbor their vulnerable emotions as we explore their thinking processes, motivations, and behaviors. I have worked with people struggling with anxiety, excessive worry, and stress. I truly enjoy helping clients identify and increase their individual strengths and discover solutions that result in positive outcomes. It’s the satisfaction in knowing progress takes time but the end result is worth the wait.  I am honored to walk alongside them on their journey to feeling better and happier.

More about me

I love spending quality time with my husband of 30 plus years and my two adult children. I am proud to be “Mimi” to our most recent addition, our grandson. I enjoy spending time with my two furbabies as well.

My husband and I enjoy bike riding, hiking, and taking long walks. We also enjoy spending time together gardening.

To relieve stress, I most enjoy my succulent garden. Due to the resilient nature of these plants, they require less attention and I don’t have to feel bad about my gardening flaws. This reminds me that I am not perfect and I don’t have to be. I have discovered “guilt-free” gardening and it’s liberating.
